Driver arrested after car lands on its back wheels, propped against utility pole in Holiday crash
HOLIDAY, Fla. (WFLA) — Troopers arrested a woman for driving under the influence after a crash Sunday morning left her vehicle in an unusual position. A 29-year-old New Port Richey woman was heading north on U.S. Highway 19 when she lost control of the Mazda CX30 near Sunray Drive. FHP said the car went off the roadway onto the shoulder before colliding with a ditch and a concrete sidewalk outside of a 7-Eleven. The force of the collision took down a utility pole and ended with the car up on its rear wheels, propped against another pole. FHP said the driver, Hannah Elizabeth Mackay, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers later arrested Mackay for driving under the influence, drug possession, and driving with a suspended license.
