Death of two Telangana women in California prompts families to seek government aid.
Two recent graduates named Pulakhandam Meghana Rani, 25, and Kadiyala Bhavana, 24, who had just completed their Master’s degree at the University of Dayton in Ohio, tragically lost their lives in a road accident in California. The incident occurred on Sunday at around 4.30 pm local time when the vehicle they were traveling in veered off the road and plunged into a gorge near the Alabama Hills road, resulting in their immediate passing. The two young women had been pursuing study and job opportunities in the US since moving there in 2023. Meghana's family is currently seeking financial support to bring her remains back to their home country, India. They have initiated a fundraiser on GoFundMe and are requesting assistance from the government to facilitate the repatriation process.
