Deadly crash Sunday in Granby
GRANBY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- A two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on State Route 48 near Jones Road in the Town of Granby Sunday evening resulted in one fatality. Andrew Christiansen, 39, of Chittenango, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash, which occurred at approximately 5:07 p.m. on May 17, 2026. Members of the Oswego County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene, where a preliminary investigation revealed a 2014 Buick Encore was traveling southbound on State Route 48 and began to slow due to traffic ahead. A 2016 Victory motorcycle, operated by Christiansen, attempted to stop behind the Buick but struck its rear end. The people in the car were uninjured in the collision. The Oswego County Sheriff's Office received assistance at the scene from the Granby Volunteer Fire Department, the Fulton City Police Department, and Menter Ambulance.
