Deadly crash off Hwy 58 leads to brush fire east of Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- At least one person is dead after a crash along Highway 58 east of Bakersfield which ignited a brush fire Friday afternoon. The crash was reported at around 4:30 p.m. along westbound lanes of Highway 58 just west of General Beale Road, according to the California Highway Patrol's Traffic Incident Information Page. The vehicle reportedly went off the road down an embankment and sparked a fire. Traffic is delayed because of the fire and emergency response. Check back for updates.
