Crash snarls traffic on I-69 just south of GM plant

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The southbound lanes of I-69 are closed south of the General Motors plant in southern Allen County as the result of a crash. The crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. and it's unclear how many vehicles are involved or how many people, if any are injured. The Indiana Department of Transportation's TrafficWise map indicates the southbound lanes are closed from the Lafayette Center Road/I-469 interchange to the U.S. 224 interchange in Markle. A public safety message was sent to nearby residents, saying to avoid the area for the next three hours. This story will be updated when more information is available.
