Crash shuts down stretch of westbound I-8 near Lakeside
(FOX 5/KUSI) — A crash temporarily shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 8 near Lakeside on Thursday. The crash happened around 11 a.m. near Lake Jennings Park Road. Images from a news helicopter showed vehicle debris scattered across both westbound lanes and both shoulders. On Thursday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol confirmed two men died in the collision. All lanes of the highway have since reopened.
