Crash report released in fatal I-71 crash that killed 21-year-old Toby Forsythe

A newly released crash report is providing a clearer picture of what happened the night 21-year-old Toby Forsythe was killed in a crash on I-71 SB in Madison County. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Forsythe was driving his Honda Accord at a slow speed in the southbound lanes of I-71 when a semi-truck driven by Bekhzod Asrarov crashed into the back of his vehicle . It happened hours after the Fourth of July holiday just after 1:30 a.m. July 5. The impact pushed Forsythe's car into the median cable barrier. Troopers say the semi continued through the median and crossed into the northbound lanes. The crash happened between State Route 56 and U.S. Route 323. The crash report identifies the semi as belonging to Big EL LLC. ABC 6 traveled about 90 miles to the company's listed address in Mason. Instead of a trucking business , the address brought us to a condominium complex. Property records show the condo is owned by Elyor Rustamov. A minivan and a pink tricycle were parked outside. ABC 6 continuously knocked on the door several times. Our team heard voices inside of the complex but no one answered the door. Asrarov is charged with tampering with evidence after investigators say he told medics his dash camera was in his pocket following the crash. ABC 6 found an email address for Big EL LLC through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and has reached out to the company. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration records show Big EL LLC is an active trucking company. The company owns two tractor-trailers, and its drivers logged more than 205,000 miles in 2025. Forsythe, a 21-year-old from Gahanna, was a rising college soccer player. His funeral is scheduled for Friday. ABC 6 is still waiting on trooper cam video and a response from the Madison County Coroner.
