Coroner IDs victim of fatal auto-pedestrian crash near Ravenel Bridge, CCCO

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) - A 67-year-old man died on Friday after he was injured in a car crash in Mount Pleasant, the Charleston County Coroner's Office announced Monday. William Douan, 67, of Charleston, was a pedestrian when a vehicle crashed into him. The collision occurred at Patriots Point Road and Coleman Boulevard, near the Ravenel Bridge, at around 10 a.m. CCCO said Douan was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. at the hospital due to blunt force injuries sustained as a result of the crash. The incident is under investigation by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
