Coroner IDs bicyclist killed in Beaufort County crash as 31-year-old Georgia man

The Beaufort County Coroners Office has identified the man killed in a Friday motor vehicle vs bicycle collision . Christopher James, a 31-year-old male from Wrens, Georgia was identified as the deceased. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, James was struck and killed by a 2011 Toyota SUV while traveling north along Trask Parkway near Stroban Road at approximately 9:40 a.m. James suffered fatal injures in the collision and the driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
