Coroner called to deadly crash in Perry County
The coroner was called to a deadly crash on US 22/322 eastbound in Watts Township, Perry County on Monday. Pennsylvania State Police have identified the victim as 82-year-old Jack Curren from Strasburg. According to PennDOT, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on US 22/322 at the Juniata Parkway East ramp. Curren, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, drove off an embankment, went airborne and rolled down a hill before coming to a stop. Police say all major components of the vehicle sustained extensive damage. Curren was pronounced dead at the scene. US 22/322 was closed for hours from Exit 34 to Huggins Road. The road is now open.
