Charges pending in fatal Miami crash involving 79-year-old man

Subsequent footage captures smoke rising from a skidding car and debris scattered on the road at the scene on NW 7th Street at 31st Avenue. The family of the victim, Eduardo Marquez, confirmed his passing after he was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Authorities explain that the chain of collisions began when a Ford F-250 pickup truck and a Nissan Sentra traveling west on NW 7th Street made contact, causing the Nissan to veer into a nearby car dealership. The pickup truck then crossed into eastbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with a white Ford Crown Victoria, where Marquez was situated. Charges against the pickup truck driver are pending, while one driver remains hospitalized in serious condition, and the other is stable.
