Car falls into canal in Sutter County fatal crash
(FOX40.COM) — A car was found partially submerged in a canal after a fatal crash in rural Sutter County early Monday morning. After reports of a crash just after 3 a.m., first responders found a vehicle in a canal near the intersection of Pelger Road and Knights Road, according to preliminary incident reports. The vehicle was found partially filled with water and about 15 feet off the roadway. The crash site is near a bridge over the canal. One fatality was confirmed Monday, and officials are investigating the cause of the crash. The car was extricated from the canal by a tow truck before 7 a.m.
