Car collision at VFW building injures two in Midtown
In Kansas City's Midtown area, a serious collision occurred on Wednesday afternoon involving the VFW building, resulting in two individuals sustaining life-threatening injuries. The Kansas City Police Department responded to the incident near Linwood Boulevard and Broadway Boulevard, where a silver Dodge Journey driver experienced a potential medical emergency while traveling south on Broadway. As per the initial investigation, the vehicle veered off course, hitting a street light pole, the Vietnam Memorial, and then the side of the VFW building before coming to a stop. Both the driver and front seat passenger were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Authorities are currently investigating the crash.
