Three suspects arrested in Crittenden Co. after allegedly staging a crash
Three individuals from West Helena were arrested after reporting a motor vehicle accident and claiming to be injured; however, authorities say they learned that the accident was, in fact, staged. The best part? The suspects committed the crime directly in front of a "sky cop" camera. Authorities first learned of the staged accident after making a call to the Detective Division, which pulled up the nearby camera, capturing the whole incident. The alleged accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 38 and Highway 147 in Horseshoe Lake. After learning the accident was staged, the three suspects were transported to the Crittenden County Jail. Upon searching the vehicles, officers uncovered a stolen gun in the car along with narcotics and paraphernalia. All three suspects have been charged with felony filing a false police report and felony criminal mischief. The driver of the U-Haul, identified as 59-year-old Carl Lee Boose of West Helena, was charged with felony filing a false police report and felony criminal mischief. Additionally, the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu, 44-year-old Felicia Larry of West Helena, received a litany of charges. She was charged with felony criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft by receiving (firearm), simultaneous possession of drugs and firearm, and possession of meth and fentanyl. The passenger in the Malibu, 46-year-old Tyrone Ewing, was charged with felony filing a false police report and felony criminal mischief. Note: All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
