Boynton Beach man charged with vehicular homicide in fatal DUI crash
A man accused of driving drunk and speeding in a deadly crash last year is now facing two counts of vehicular homicide.Stay up to date: The latest headlines and weather from WPBF 25Police say the crash happened on July 11 along Congress Avenue near Buccaneer Road in Boynton Beach.According to investigators, 25-year-old Angelo Munguia was driving at high speeds while under the influence when he struck a bicyclist.Officers say the impact was severe. The cyclist’s leg was torn off, and his body was thrown more than 200 feet from where he was hit.The victim, identified as 31-year-old Juan Villeda Rivera, was pronounced dead at the scene.Munguia was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail earlier this week.
