Boating crash leaves a woman dead in Plumas County
A woman was killed after a boating crash at Frenchman Lake, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash happened on Saturday morning when emergency dispatchers received a report of a boating collision involving a personal watercraft and a recreational boat near the Frenchman Lake Boat Launch.The woman driving the personal watercraft, identified as Sandra Ann Skender, 47, of Reno, Nevada, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office. Investigators believe alcohol to be a factor in this crash, the sheriff's office said.The collision remains under investigation.
