Anthony Joshua Shares First Public Update After Fatal Car Accident.
London - Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has shared his first update following a tragic car accident that took the lives of two of his close friends in Nigeria. Taking to his Instagram account, Joshua posted a photo of himself with his mother and three other women, captioned with “My Brothers Keeper” and two hearts. Reports have indicated that Joshua has returned to the UK for the funerals of Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who passed away in the crash alongside him. Recovering from minor injuries, the two-time heavyweight champion was discharged from the hospital and is now recuperating at home. Ghami served as Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was a trainer. Prior to the tragic accident, social media posts showed Joshua and Ayodele enjoying a game of table tennis. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle has been charged with dangerous driving, with the court date set for January 20. Joshua, who has strong ties to Nigeria, has not yet commented on his future in boxing. Elsewhere, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his return to boxing, sparking speculation of a potential showdown with Joshua.
