Andrews Highway signal is working again after crash damage
The traffic light at Andrews Highway and West Golf Course Road, near Alpine Street, has been reactivated. It was previously damaged in a crash at the intersection. Photos show that on Tuesday, April 7, a Ford drove off the road and crashed into the traffic signal control box, knocking it off its base and causing the traffic lights to stop working. While City of Midland crews worked to repair the signal, temporary stop signs were put in place to keep traffic moving safely. The intersection carries heavy traffic because it is on Andrews Highway. The crash was the second reported April 7 on Andrews Highway, following a two-vehicle head-on collision in the 3600 block.
