85-year-old man dies after car crashes into pickup truck near Wabash
WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - An 85-year-old man died Sunday after the car he was in collided with a pickup truck south of Wabash. A man identified as Dennis Stroup was driving northbound on State Road 15 near County Road 700 South when his car turned into the path of an oncoming pickup truck for an unknown reason, according to a release from Indiana State Police. Stroup, from Marion, was taken to a hospital but later pronounced dead. The couple inside the truck, 76-year-old Larry Walker and 72-year-old Sharon Walker of La Fontaine, were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. ISP noted in the release that neither alcohol nor drugs were considered to be factors in the crash.
