19-year-old died after crash in Henry County, VSP says
Virginia State Police said a 19-year-old died after a crash in Henry County. VSP said they are investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred on Saturday at 6:40 p.m. on Chatham Road, one-tenth of a mile east of Rob Lee Drive in Henry County. SEE ALSO: 1 dead, 1 injured after pursuit leads to crash into residence: VSP According to VSP, a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling east on Chatham Road when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, hit the guardrail, and overturned. VSP said the 19-year-old driver of the Jeep, Jason Gage Pendleton, of Collinsville, was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, VSP said.
