18-year-old driver ejected, killed in crash: OSHP
TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) -- An 18-year-old driver was killed in a crash Sunday evening in Tuscarawas County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in a news release Monday morning, said the crash involved a Ram 1500 and a Nissan Altima and happened just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. According to investigators, the Altima, driven by 18-year-old Ridge Reichman, failed to yield from the stop sign at the intersection of Township Road 1277 and County Road 103 in Lawrence Township. Reichman's vehicle was struck by the Ram 1500 and pushed off the road. Investigators said Reichman was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Ram and a passenger in the vehicle were not hurt. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, according to the news release. The crash remains under investigation.
