18-year-old driver dies in single vehicle crash in LaGrange County
An 18-year-old man is dead after a single vehicle crash in LaGrange County. Kaden Wiese, 18, of Wolcottville died in the crash, according to the Lagrange County Sheriff’s Office. The crash happened at around 7 p.m. Thursday evening near the 2500 block of W 700 S in Topeka on July 23, 2026. Police say Wiese was traveling eastbound on CR 700 S, when he lost control of his vehicle west of 700 S. Wiese's vehicle veered off the northside of the road, striking a fence. According to police say he died from injuries suffered in the crash. An 18-year-old passenger in the vehicle was not injured. Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
