1 person killed, several injured after head-on crash in Julian
(FOX 5/KUSI) — One person died and several others were injured after two vehicles crashed head-on in the mountain community of Julian. Cal Fire said the crash happened on Pine Hills Road, on the western edge of Julian, around 7 a.m. A fire crew responded and extinguished the fire from one of the vehicles that was still burning. A total of five patients were found, including one who needed CPR. Cal Fire said that one person died, but did not specify the person's role in the crash or if they were the person who needed CPR. Of the other people involved in the crash, three had major injuries and another person had moderate injuries. Cal Fire said that the California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
