Driver facing charges in crash that killed 3 Oklahoma teens last year

They said she is now facing criminal charges related to the deadly crash but was released without bond. "It’s something, and we have to be grateful for something. We have to be grateful that the ball is rolling," said Destiny Miles, the mother of 14-year-old Malakye Miles, one of the victims. "It’s kind of mixed emotions of we’re getting somewhere, but we’re not really getting anywhere kind of situation," said Cassandra Odom, the mother of 15-year-old Brook Lynn Faith Dooley, another victim. Days later, 17-year-old Andrew Watson succumbed to his injuries. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the driver failed to yield at a stop sign before the vehicle was struck by a pickup truck. "We’ve all felt extreme frustration at times, and just because we still don’t know the whole story," Destiny said. "She’s the only one in the vehicle that’s left to tell the story."In the year since the crash, the families have endured missed birthdays, holidays, and milestones, leaning on each other for support as they wait for answers. "I just don’t understand how you can take three kids’ lives and just be able to walk out," Cassandra said.
