Motorcyclist dies after crashing into traffic sign, guardrail in Woodbridge
A Woodbridge, Virginia, man died after his motorcycle crashed into a traffic sign and guardrail late Friday night, according to Prince William County police. Officers responded around 10:53 p.m. July 18 to the area of Old Bridge Road and Colby Drive to investigate the crash. Police said the rider of a 2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 was traveling eastbound on Old Bridge Road when he attempted to negotiate a right-hand curve. The motorcycle crossed into the median and struck a traffic sign and guardrail. The rider was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. According to investigators, speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
