1 dead, several injured after semi-trailer crash on I-75 in Collier County

Florida Highway Patrol says they are investigating a deadly crash that shut down lanes on I-75 for hours Sunday morning.The Collier County Sheriff's office says five people were injured, including three who were trauma alerted.CCSO says a semi-trailer rolled over and struck at least two cars on I-75 in Collier County near mile marker 108 at the Pine Ridge Road exit. The southbound lanes of I-75 have since reopened between Pine Ridge Road and Golden Gate Parkway. The Florida Department of Transportation opened the new diverging diamond at Pine Ridge Road one day early to accommodate the detours.Some of the victims had to be flown to the hospital.
