1 dead after ATV accident in Genesee County
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- One person is dead following an ATV accident on Ellinwood Road in Pembroke, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office said. Officials received a 911 call at 7 p.m. reporting the accident. Investigation revealed that a black Yamaha ATV was traveling northbound on Ellinwood and turned too early at the road's curve, causing it to drive off the road and hit a tree. Lifesaving measures were attempted, but the victim, Michael J. Wittmeyer, 23, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead the scene. The crash is currently being investigated by the Sherriff's Office.
