1 dead, 2 seriously hurt in head-on crash at Auberry and Millerton in Fresno County
A woman riding in the back seat of a car was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon in Fresno County. It happened at about 12:45 at the intersection of Millerton Road and Auberry Road after another vehicle rolled through a stop sign and turned into its path. CHP says a brown Toyota was traveling westbound on Millerton Road and intended to make a left turn to go southbound on Auberry Road. [RELATED] Man dead after hit-and-run in Sanger, driver wanted A gray Nissan was traveling northbound on Auberry Road at normal speeds of 50 to 55 mph when the Toyota made the left turn, rolling through a stop sign, and the two vehicles collided. A man in the Nissan was traveling with his elderly parents. The woman, who was seated in the rear passenger seat, was killed in the crash. The 18-year-old driver of the Toyota had her grandmother and two younger siblings. The driver and the siblings were transported to Children’s Hospital. The other three people involved were transported to Community Regional Medical Center. Two of the people had to be airlifted to the hospital. Drugs and alcohol were not involved.
