1 dead, 1 injured following crash in Greene County

NEW BALTIMORE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- One person is dead, and another injured, following a car crash in the town of New Baltimore on Tuesday, according to the Greene County Sheriff's Office. The incident reportedly occurred on State Route 144. Deputies were dispatched to the scene just before 2 p.m. Authorities said a Honda had been traveling westbound when it failed to keep right and entered a westbound lane, hitting a Subaru head-on. The driver of the Honda, identified as 26-year-old Jenna Mohr of Hannacroix, reportedly had to be extricated from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Subaru was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office said. State Route 144 was shut down for several hours on Tuesday as authorities responded to the incident. Deputies were reportedly assisted by Greene County Paramedics, the New Baltimore Fire Department, Ravena Rescue and New York State Police. An investigation remains ongoing into the crash, according to the sheriff.
