1 dead, 1 injured after 3-car crash on Oregon highway
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A three-car crash on Thursday afternoon led to one death and one injury, Oregon State Police said. The crash occurred on Highway 39 near milepost 4 in Klamath Falls just after 4:30 p.m. Investigators say 75-year-old Sebastian Bufardeci was driving a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee west on South 6th Street near Wiard Street when it veered into the turn lane for an unknown reason. "The Jeep clipped the driver side of a westbound silver Chevrolet Silverado…then continued into the eastbound travel lane (and) collided head-on with an eastbound white Toyota Tundra," OSP said. Bufardeci was declared dead at the scene, while the driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries.
