1 critically injured in single-vehicle crash in Montgomery County, police say
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A Saturday morning crash in the Ashton area of Montgomery County left one person critically injured, according to police. Details are limited; however, in a post on X at 6:15 a.m., the Montgomery County Department of Police said officers were on the scene of a single-vehicle crash in the 1700 block of Ashton Road. Officials noted that, at this time, it is believed that one person sustained "critical injuries" in the crash. Police did not disclose further information regarding the victim's age or gender. As a result of the crash, the police department said Mink Hollow Road at Route 108 and the intersection of Tucker Lane and New Hampshire Avenue are temporarily closed as crews work to clear the scene. Officials urged drivers to take alternate routes.
