Young man dies in fiery Tracy car crash
(FOX40.COM) — A young man is dead after a fiery two-car crash in Tracy just after midnight, police say. At about 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, the Tracy Police Department received word of a collision involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of Tracy Boulevard and Grant Line Road. One of the vehicles was engulfed in flame, police said. Officers worked to extract a driver from that vehicle, and other first responders provided medical aid. The man, later identified as a 22-year-old from Tracy, died at the scene. The other car was carrying a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, also from Tracy. They were taken to an area hospital and are in stable condition, police said. The collision is still under investigation by the department's traffic safety unit. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Tracy police officer Adrian Macias at 209-831-6949.
