Young children injured in hit-and-run incident in San Bernardino

A young child and an infant were taken to the hospital after being hit by a driver who fled the scene in San Bernardino. The incident occurred on Dec. 1 when a group of families, including several young kids, were walking back from a nearby dog park. As they were crossing the road near Arrowhead Avenue at 27th Street, a driver struck their baby stroller, with the impact severely injuring a 3-month-old baby and a 3-year-old toddler. The driver continued driving and did not stop to help the injured children. Both victims were swiftly taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The driver, who was in a gray-colored vehicle, was last seen heading north on Arrowhead Avenue. Authorities are seeking any witnesses, surveillance footage, or information related to the incident, and urge those with details to contact San Bernardino police at 909-384-5742.
