Wrong-way crash overnight on I-270

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – No one was seriously injured following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 270 early Sunday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report, the crash happened around 1:35 a.m. on westbound I-270 just east North Lindbergh Boulevard. The highway patrol said a 2025 GMC Sierra was traveling east in the westbound lanes when the vehicle collided with a 2025 Volvo VN, a heavy-duty tractor vehicle. The driver of the Sierra, a 43-year-old Lake St. Louis man, suffered only minor injuries. He was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The 44-year-old driver of the Volvo VN was not injured.
