Woman with DUI manslaughter seven months after deadly crash in Cantonment
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla (WKRG) – The Florida Highway Patrol has charged a Pensacola Woman with manslaughter after an investigation seven months after a deadly crash in Cantonment, according to a press release. 29-year-old Kelcey Ely was booked into the Escambia County Jail, charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI leading to serious bodily injury on Friday around 2:13 AM. State troopers say the incident happened on October 11, 2025, on U.S. Highway 29 near Woodbury Circle in Cantonment. They say two vehicles crashed on Highway 29, leaving the driver and passenger of one vehicle with severe injuries. The passenger of the other vehicle, driven by Ely, was killed. Troopers haven’t released the victim’s identity.
