Authorities confirm two people died after the Tuesday night crash on Loop 375 in East El Paso. According to the El Paso Police Department, Isaac Ibarra, 24, and Fabian Alexaner Alonozo, 24, died from the injuries they suffered after the vehicle they were traveling in was going fast when it lost control, causing a three-vehicle crash. Special Traffic Investigators allege Ibarra was driving a white 2017 Toyota Tundra going fast, passing vehicles and cutting across lanes when it hit two other vehicles (a white 2022 Genesis and a black 2013 Nissan Maxima), lost control of the Tundra and crashed into a concrete pole. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured, according to police. STI investigators determined speed and "unsafe lane change" as the factors contributing to the crash. According to police numbers, these are the 29th and 30th traffic deaths of 2026, compared to 34 at the same time in 2025.
