Woman killed in July Fourth crash near McPherson
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman is dead after a crash on the Fourth of July. The McPherson County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened about 6:30 p.m. Saturday on 14th Avenue about 5 miles south of McPherson. According to the preliminary investigation, a silver sedan slowed and began to turn left into a driveway when it was hit by a gray SUV traveling in the opposite direction. The passenger in the sedan, 43-year-old Julie Goucher of Galva, died at the scene. The driver of the sedan and the driver of the SUV were taken to a hospital. The crash is still being investigated.
