Woman from Kansas killed by own SUV
A tragic incident occurred in Edwards County, near Kinsley, when a woman lost her life after being accidentally run over by her own vehicle. Reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol revealed that Rebecca Oberly, a 44-year-old resident of Kinsley, collided with a deer while driving her Nissan Pathfinder on U.S. Highway 50. After stopping to inspect the damage, Oberly unfortunately tripped as the SUV unexpectedly shifted into reverse, leading to the fatal accident. Despite the passenger in her vehicle escaping injury during the deer collision, Oberly was pronounced dead at the scene.
