Woman from East Bay dies in DUI accident; 1 person detained
A tragic collision in San Ramon resulted in the death of a 41-year-old woman from Castro Valley, as reported by the police. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at 3:23 p.m. on Crow Canyon Road involving a Ford Bronco and a Tesla Model 3. The driver of the Tesla, Badal Dholaria, a 28-year-old from Pleasanton, was found to be driving while intoxicated at the time of the accident. Dholaria has since been arrested and taken into custody on charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter, with bail set at $300,000 at the Martinez Detention Facility. The authorities have chosen not to disclose the name of the deceased woman in deference to her family's privacy. The San Ramon Police Department expressed condolences to all those impacted by this heartbreaking event and emphasized that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
