Woman ejected from car dies in single-vehicle crash
ANTIOCH, Calif. (KRON) -- A woman died Saturday morning after being ejected from her car. Antioch police responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash in the area of G Street and Drake Street just after 1 a.m. There, officers said they found a 51-year-old woman suffering from major injuries who had been ejected from her car during the crash. She was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries. Her name is being withheld. It is unclear what led to the crash but preliminary information from witnesses and evidence at the scene suggests speed and impairment may have been contributing factors, according to officials.
