Woman dies, man injured in shooting and crash in the Merrimack Valley
A woman is dead after a shooting and crash in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on Thursday night.The collision occurred around 9:21 p.m. in the area of 63 Erving Avenue.According to the Essex County District Attorney's Office, responding officers found a 20-year-old Lawrence woman and a 20-year-old Lawrence man both suffering from gunshot wounds inside a 2014 Jeep Cherokee.The woman was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead Friday morning. Her identity is not being released at this time.The man remains in critical condition at an area hospital, according to officials.The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the crash remain under investigation by the district attorney's office.No further information was immediately available.
