CSPD: Motorcyclist dies in head-on collision with vehicle
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle led to the death of one person just south of Downtown Colorado Springs on early Saturday morning, June 6, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). Police reported that at around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 0 block of West Las Vegas Street, just south of Downtown, for a crash with an injury. When officers arrived, they found that a motorcycle had been going westbound on West Las Vegas Street into oncoming traffic and had hit an eastbound vehicle head-on. According to CSPD, the motorcyclist died from his injuries at the scene. The Major Crash Team took over the investigation. Seed is considered a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
