Woman dies following single vehicle crash on I-265
All lanes of I-265 eastbound between Dixie Highway and Stone Street have been shut down due to a fatal crash. Louisville Metro Police said they were called out to I-265 on reports of a single vehicle crash around 6:15 p.m.Preliminary investigations show that the a woman was driving on I-265 when she lost control and went into the median where the vehicle rolled. The woman was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS. According to TRIMARC the road is expected to be closed until 11 p.m. Saturday.
