Witnesses describe horror and disbelief after Pikesville bus crash

Several new videos have surfaced showing a bus crashing into a building Wednesday night in Pikesville.Baltimore County police said as many as 36 people were taken to hospitals, including the bus driver, who is in critical condition. WBAL-TV 11 News has learned that the bus driver, Tavon Giles, is in critical condition. "(I'm) astonished at the scope of the accident, how far it went. I mean, two blocks, nearly two city blocks, and then seeing the bus in the building," said Bernie Troutner, a witness.County police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Business surveillance video obtained by WBAL-TV 11 News showed the bus speeding down Reisterstown Road, hitting an SUV before barreling through a red light. Authorities said the bus struck as many as 12 cars."It hit a white SUV of some sort and continued to go, and everything looked like a domino effect. Everybody tried to get out of the way," said Kenneth John McDermott, a witness.Another surveillance video showed the bus crashing through a beauty salon sign as it rolled by on the sidewalk.Video below shows moments before bus crashThe shop's owner, Neha Gupta, said she and her employees are traumatized by what they saw."If my sign had not been there, we could have been hit big time and we wouldn't be here today," Gupta said. "They were stunned. No one knew what was going on. I saw a girl bleeding from her mouth and her nose.
