Wife employs crash-detection tool to locate injured motorcyclist.
An Arizona motorcyclist is facing a challenging road to recovery after a serious crash, but his wife is grateful that he survived, attributing it in part to the advanced technology in his helmet. Dustin Hayes' accident occurred in the Phoenix area on January 2, with his wife Brooke receiving an alert through his helmet's Cardo Bluetooth communication device. She quickly acted on the notification, rushing to the scene after he did not respond to calls. Upon arriving, she found him in critical condition but alive, despite the severity of the crash that left him injured. Dustin will now need surgery and rehabilitation for the multiple broken and fractured bones. His wife humorously remarked that she can now forever remind him of her heroic rescue.
