Wanted felon crashes into vehicle while fleeing police on near east side
INDIANAPOLIS — A pursuit of a wanted felon ended with a crash on the city's near east side. A medic run shows that Indianapolis EMS crews were called to E. 10th and Rural streets at 2:06 p.m. Friday on report of a crash with possible serious injury. Footage provided to FOX59/CBS4 shows law enforcement officers wearing military-like gear with assault-style rifles detaining an adult male at the crash scene. A gray sedan is also visible with significant front-end damage. According to Indiana State Police, the crash was the result of a high-speed chase involving a wanted felon. The wanted felon allegedly crashed into another vehicle while fleeing police. Two people were transported from the scene. State police believe the bystanders suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police on scene said the wanted felon had been driving the dark gray sedan and collided with a bystander's hatchback. State police have not provided any additional information at this time.
