VSP investigate fatal crash in Alleghany Co. over holiday weekend
ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A single-vehicle crash on July 4 took the life of a 68-year-old Bath County woman, according to Virginia State Police. (VSP) State police say the crash happened at 1:54 p.m. on Route 42, one mile south of Nicely Town Road in Alleghany County on Saturday. A 2002 Chevrolet S-10 was traveling on Route 42, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. VSP says the vehicle overcorrected, crossed the roadway and overturned. VSP identified the driver as 68-year-old driver Pamela Clark Hall, of Millboro, Va. Police say Hall was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene. VSP continues to investigate this crash.
