Virginia State Police investigating deadly I-64 motorcycle crash in Hampton
HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia State Police are currently investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on I-64 West in Hampton that happened just after midnight Saturday morning. According to officials, preliminary investigation shows that Marlo B. Tubikanec, 20, of Newport News lost control of his motorcycle near Big Bethel Road while on I-64 West around 12:33 a.m. Tubikanec suffered injuries in this initial incident. As Tubikanec was attempting to get off the roadway, he was struck by a second motorcycle driven by James N. Marketh, 49, of Chester. Marlo Tubikanec died at the scene. Virginia State Police are currently investigating the crash.
