Violent Orange County rollover crash leaves 3 people hospitalized
Two people were trapped in their vehicle after a violent rollover crash in Orange County that was captured on a resident's doorbell camera Sunday. Crews with the Fullerton Fire Department responded to the scene near the intersection of Valencia Drive and Courtney Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. on reports of the crash. Footage of the incident obtained by KTLA showed the driver of a pickup truck make a slow left turn from Courtney Avenue onto Valencia Drive when the driver of a dark-colored four-door sedan traveling on Valencia Drive slammed into the truck’s driver side, causing the pickup to roll onto its side in the middle of the roadway. Valencia Drive was shut down in both directions as police contained the scene and firefighters worked to rescue two people trapped inside one of the vehicles. “We were able to extricate them," Fullerton Fire Department Cpt. Robert Thompson said. “We got them out through the windshield.” Large crowds of onlookers watched as medical personnel treated three people involved in the crash, all of whom were taken to local hospitals with unknown injuries. No additional information, including whether speed, drugs or alcohol may have been a factor, nor is it known if any of the involved parties will face charges in connection to the crash.
