Victim of fatal motorcycle crash in McLean County identified
McLean County Coroner Kathleen Yoder has provided an update on the fatal motorcycle accident that took place in Bloomington. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Matthew J. Moritz from Bloomington, passed away at 3:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center due to injuries sustained in the crash. The incident, involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of East Oakland Avenue and Old Farm Road, was reported to Bloomington police at 3:12 p.m., according to department spokesperson Bryce Janssen. The accident is currently under investigation by Bloomington Police, the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team, and the McLean County Coroner's Office.
